Nanotechnology is a new area of scientific research that incorporates aspects of physics, chemistry and biology. Whilst much nanotechnology is at the cutting edge of research there are still many topics that relate to the school science curriculum. This page will show you the curriculum links.

The aim of the Nanoquest project is to get school children interested in nanotechnology and science generally. To achieve this we chose a 3D computer game which is both enjoyable and challenging to play. If you are having difficulty playing the game please use the videos below to reveal each game level and explain what is happening from an educational and game play perspective.

In level 2 of the game the Nanogallery is of particular educational interest. Here the player can learn about nanotechnology and many junior science topics in an interesting way. To get directly to the gallery level just hold the shift key and press '2' whilst in the game menu. This also works for other levels, e.g. to get to level 3 hold shift and press '3'.
